SCHOOL BAG ESSENTIALS That You MUST HAVE!!!

Books, copies, water bottle....

Those are all the basics but there's a few other things that YOU NEED to have in your bag!

PADS / TAMPONS

This one seems like common sense but honestly...

I can think of at least five times when someone has asked around for a pad or a tampon.

I recommend keeping two (pads or tampons) in your bag just in case you get your period the same day your friend does

(that happened to me before).

PAIN KILLERS / ALLERGY PILLS

Sometimes people just don't think of keeping pain killers in their bag until they need them.

If you're like me and have an allergy, keep some allergy medicine in your bag too.

You never know when you'll get a sneezing fit!

If you're not keeping a whole pack in your bag, I recommend that you write the expiration date on your medicine.

FLASH CARDS + PAPER CLIPS

Have a free class and want to revise for an exam?

No problem!

Keep a handful in your bag for revision!

And why the paper clips, you ask?

To keep your flash cards together, otherwise you'll be stuck with flash cards in your bag that will be a mixture of Maths theorems, Chemistry notes and Accounting theory...

Yikes!

SPARE PENCIL CASE

Why you ask, Ariana, do I need 2 pencil cases?!

If you told me to keep 2 pencil cases last year, I'd laugh at you!

But me being me, I always carry too much stationary with me.

So this year I decided to keep 2 cases, one with my every class essentials, like pens, ruller, highlighters and tipex.

And the other one with my maths set, scissors, glue, colouring pencils and extra pens.

This way may pencil case isn't overflowing and it's easier to find what I need fast!

I recommend 2 pencil cases if it takes you TOO MUCH TIME to find a blue pen in your pencil case!

HAIR TIES

Also seems like an obvious one.

But when you realise that you'll be using a bunsen burner in the lab

or

Someone needs to tie there hair up for Physical Education

You'll be a life safer if you have spare hair ties!

I recommend if you let someone burrow a hair tie, let them keep it.

You never know if someone has head lice!

FLAT FOLDER

Trust me, you don't want to have a bag full of random papers!

Have a few subjects where you get a lot of sheets?

Get a folder for EACH SUBJECT!

I also recommend keeping a few folders at home where you can store your tests.

Useful to look over them for revision!

REFILL PAD

Probably the most underrated bag essential!

Need a spare sheet for rough work?

Forgot a copy and need somewhere to take down notes?

Need paper for revision?

Seriously, just get a refill pad (or 2, I go through 2 every single year, it's that handy)!

TISSUES/PLASTERS/WIPES /SANITER/FACE MASKS

That's your first aid kit.

I don't need to give you examples, you know why you need each one of them!

I recommend that you have enough to share with others just in case.

GUM

We all have that friend that eats something smelly for lunch!

(Or maybe you're that friend 😂)

Have some gum with you and offer it to people that NEED IT.

Everyone around you would appreciate that you are getting rid of bad breath!

SPARE CASH

No, I'm not saying that you should carry around a big lump of cash.

But having enough money with you just in case you forgot your lunch

Or

You forgot to bring money for a bake sale

Or your friend did!

I recommend you don't carry too much, so it's not a big loss if you lose it or it gets stolen. Also, don't tell anyone where you keep your cash!

FINAL WORDS

These are my school bag essentials. I hope you have learned something new and you will use my knowledge! Be the prepared person in your group! If you think I missed an important essential, feel free to let me know!
